Gerard Gallant

Former Club member

No celebrity has had a greater impact on youth in our community. Gerard, without reservation, has dived deep into helping BGC Prince County be a beacon in the Summerside area. Gerard has helped with countless fundraisers in support of the club, he has spent countless hours being there for us, and we are where we are today because of him! Our Tech lab in the Youth Engagement Centre is sponsored by Gerard!

Gerard sets the example when it comes to giving back.

Forbie Kennedy

Many consider Forbie the greatest NHL player ever produced on PEI but to our organization he’s the absolute best friend BGC Prince County could ever dream of. Nobody personifies pure hard work and dedication more than Forbie’s accomplishments and thousands of Club members look to Forbie as a remarkable role model. Forbie has dedicated so much to our club that our homework centre is named after him at our Club!

"If Forbie did it with hard work, so can I."

NOAh Dobson

Former Club Employee

A former club employee, the rise to stardom for Summerside’s own first round NHL draft pick has be meteoric to say the least. His drive to be better is something we all take to heart and his willingness to always be there for our Club is something we can’t thank him enough for! Noah sponsors our Youth of the Year award as well as the Youth of the Year Scholarship!

Noah wants to be his very best, as we all should!

From NHL Head Coach to TV Analyst, Doug’s incredible list of achievements is one to be lauded! Doug donates in so many ways to our Club and his community, without question. Doug donates to our food security programs like Summerside Auto Project Backpack, Curran & Briggs Gifts for Joy.

Inducted into the PEI Sports Hall of Fame in 2022, for hockey fans on Prince Edward Island over the past four decades there is one voice that has filled the airwaves with the most regularity, and with the most professionalism and prominence – George Matthews.

George is an incredible presenter and broadcaster, and we are very lucky to have his talents!

John Chabot

All the way from Summerside, PEI, John Chabot’s incredible playing career spanned almost two decades. John’s personality and kindness has allowed him to be an insurmountable recourse for the Club when contacting celebrities to attend our tournament. Starring in the hit show “Trailer Park Boys,” Robb Wells has been a critical piece in fundraising for BGC Prince County. Not only does he make sure we have plenty of signed memorabilia to auction off, he has created parts in new shows, auctioned off to attendees of the golf tournament, with all proceeds going directly towards everything we do. Robb even calls monthly to ask how things are going and if there is anything he can do for us!

We are very lucky to have someone like Robb involved!

Murray Wilson

Four time Stanley Cup Champion, Murray Wilson has cemented his legacy in NHL history, but what he does off the ice is what impresses us at the Club the most! Murray may not have been born in the Maritimes, but we count him as one of our own. He played for the Nova Scotia Voyageurs helping lead them to their first Calder Cup in 1972 and was inducted in the the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame in 1995!
